Take Action

We are a group of educators and film professionals who strongly believe every child in every school has the right to a well-rounded education, of which the arts are an essential ingredient. In this critical turning point in our country’s education system, our vision for Shakespeare High is to inspire and propel educators, policy makers, students, citizens, foundations, and private sector funders to systemically change the American educational system and continuously fund the arts. Decades of research has shown consistent links between academic and personal success and high-quality arts education and we hope to use this film to illustrate the positive impact and necessity of arts education in our schools.

GET INVOLVED!

HOST A SCREENING
We kicked off the Shakespeare High screening program at the Palm Springs International Film Festival with a screening for 1,000 students as part of the festival’s Educational Outreach Program, followed by workshops by the teachers and students from the film. Our hope is that through these screenings, we will inspire communities to build a strong network of support for high quality arts education.
